FeatHERS is a blog dedicated to STEM, curated completely by female high school students, for the purpose of disseminating scientific knowledge without borders. New issues are published monthly/bi-monthly, with each highlighting at least one achievement made by woman in any field of STEM. As experience in science is not always readily available, FeatHERS was created for the purpose of giving female high school students the opportunity to cultivate their writing skills in a scientific setting and express their passions for STEM. The experience each student gains through FeatHERS will be fundamental in any area of science they wish to pursue, and we hope that these skills will stay with those students for the rest of their careers.

Our Origin:
The name of our blog, FeatHERS, has several different meanings behind it. At face value, FeatHERS is an acronym for our mission: Female Empowerment and Teamwork: Honoring Excellence in Research and Science. However, upon dissecting the name, FeatHERS also becomes an abbreviation for Featuring HERS; HERS can universally refer to the work of female students, scientists, and writers that our blog aims to represent. As our name suggests, we hope that this blog will become an source of empowerment through knowledge and support for young female students.
